About the author
The author, Helen Ennis, specialises in Australian photography and has held key positions, including Curator of Photography at the National Gallery of Australia. She is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Humanities and received the J. Dudley Johnston Medal in 2021 from the British Royal Photographic Society.
