Celebrate Bat Night and join our bat count for Flying-fox conservation.
Join a Bat Count at Riverglade Reserve, Gladesville facilitated by Sydney Wildlife, with North Sydney and Hunters Hill Council Bushland teams. The count will contribute to the National Flying-fox Monitoring Program census and track the health of our local Grey Headed Flying-fox populations, an endangered species with landscape scale significance.
You will learn how to estimate Flying-fox numbers with a counter. Please wear sturdy enclosed shoes with good grip and appropriate clothing for the weather conditions. Bring a smart device or torch to light your path.
The group will meet at Council Chambers and travel by bus to the site.
Limited places available. Suited to adults.
