There are many ways to get involved at The Coal Loader including multiple community gardening programs, taking care of the chickens, and becoming a volunteer tour guide.

The Coal Loader has four gardening projects you can become involved with. These include the Cottage Garden, the Platform Community Gardens, the Allotment Gardens and the Aquaponics Project.

Volunteer with our chickens!

Working on a roster basis, each morning and night volunteers care for the chickens and share the eggs they lay. There is no charge to become a member and comprehensive training is provided.
