These events are delivered as part of Open Doors, Open Books, Open Minds, a coordinated statewide Library Open Day as part of Library and Information Week.
The initiative brings together NSW public libraries to showcase their services, spaces, collections and community impact through a shared day of activity and storytelling.

Behind the Scenes at the Archives
Join Historical Services staff for a free guided tour of North Sydney Council's archive, artwork and artifact store.
Discover the extensive collection stored at our dedicated archive facility, of which only a small proportion are displayed at any one time.
From artworks to archaeology, clothing to cooking equipment, be taken behind-the-scenes of some of these stored artifacts to reveal the stories they can tell us about North Sydney and its community.

Rhymetime with special guest
Join us for fun rhymes, music, singing and puppets to develop early literacy skills! You'll also get the chance to meet Mayor Zoe Baker.
Ideal for babies aged 0-2 years but all ages are welcome. Carers are required to stay and actively participate during the session.
