In accordance with Clause 14(2) of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation, 2021, notice is hereby given of Council’s decision to adopt North Sydney Development Control Plan (NSDCP) 2025.
At its meeting on 28 July 2025 Council resolved to adopt NSDCP 2025, comprising a new comprehensive DCP that applies to all land to which North Sydney Local Environmental Plan 2013 applies. The primary purpose of the new DCP is to restructure it in a format that will assist its integration into future Artificial Intelligence platforms associated with the assessment of development applications.
NSDCP 2025 repeals the operation of NSDCP 2013. However, NSDCP 2013 will continue to apply to any development application that has been lodged, but not finally determined before the commencement of NSDCP 2025. A copy of NSDCP 2013 can be accessed here.

Resolution not to proceed with proposed Amendment to North Sydney Development Control Plan 2013 – 270-272 Pacific Highway, Crows Nest
In accordance with Clause 14(3) of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation, 2021, notice is hereby given of Council’s decision not to proceed with the making of an amendment to North Sydney Development Control Plan (NSDCP) 2013 as it relates to land at 270-272 Pacific Highway, Crows Nest.
At its meeting on 28 July 2025, Council resolved to not proceed with the making of an amendment to NSDCP 2013 to incorporate site specific controls for development at 270-272 Pacific Highway, Crows Nest. The justification for not proceeding with the amendment relates to the acknowledgment of the significant change in planning and development context of this site which is located within the Crows Nest Transit Oriented Development Precinct and that the former proposed controls are no longer fit for purpose.
