From Sunday 12 May, we will be seeking community feedback on North Sydney's future, to help us develop a new Community Strategic Plan.
Local and global trends, including increasing population and changing demographics, are reshaping communities and the way we live and work.
We're seeking community feedback to explore the shared challenges and opportunities that this presents for North Sydney, to help us develop a new Community Strategic Plan (CSP) for 2025-2035.
We are asking you to consider all aspects of North Sydney’s future, including:
- Culture and Creativity
- Economic Development (coming soon)
- Integrated Transport
- Open Space and Recreation
- Social Inclusion
How to have your say
We are developing Discussion Papers for each of the above areas with an online survey enabling you to provide feedback (open 12 May – 23 June). These papers will encourage you to think about where we are now, where we want to be in the future and how we will get there.
Please note the Economic Development discussion paper will be available soon.
Council will also be hosting dedicated Community Forums for each of the areas at Hutley Hall, North Sydney Council’s Chambers, 200 Miller Street. At these forums, the community will have the opportunity to hear from a panel of experts who will provide insights and encourage evidence-based discussion about the future of North Sydney. Council will also be running additional workshops with First Nations residents, a demographically-selected group recruited by Taverner Research Group, a Disability Inclusion Committee, creative industry stakeholders, and young people.
