When Council or Council's contractor undertakes infrastructure or road works, we work to follow standard working hours. Council may approve construction works outside of standard hours for public safety reasons.
Standard construction hours
Monday to Friday
- 7am - 5pm
Saturday
- 8am - 1pm
Start and end times are estimates only (weather and other factors permitting). All efforts will be made to minimise disruption and complete the works as quickly and safely as possible. Council appreciates your cooperation and patience.

Young Street Plaza Upgrade, Neutral Bay
Works: upgrade works will include new stormwater drainage, footpath paving, street and decorative lighting, street furniture Improved landscape areas and new trees, passive entertainment spaces, weatherproof pergola.
Work dates: Works will commence Monday 27 October and will be completed over 20 weeks, 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm Saturday, weather permitting.
