When Council or Council's contractor undertakes infrastructure or road works, we work to follow standard working hours. Council may approve construction works outside of standard hours for public safety reasons.

Standard construction hours

Monday to Friday

  • 7am - 5pm

Saturday

  • 8am - 1pm

Start and end times are estimates only (weather and other factors permitting). All efforts will be made to minimise disruption and complete the works as quickly and safely as possible. Council appreciates your cooperation and patience.

Willoughby Road, Crows Nest, between Clark Street and Albany Street

Works planned
These works include removing old fig tree stumps, repairing and restoring planter boxes, planting mature native Callistemon shrubs, and replacing loose mulch with a porous stabilised material to improve water penetration and support tree health.

Work locations
Willoughby Road, Crows Nest, between Clark Street and Albany Street.

Work dates
Starting Monday 13 April 2026, for approximately 7 weeks (weather permitting).

  • Monday to Friday: 7am to 5pm
  • Saturday: 8am to 2pm

What to expect during the works
To reduce impacts on the community and businesses, the works will be completed in stages. The contractor will speak directly with affected businesses before work begins near their premises.

During construction, temporary parking restrictions will be in place near work areas. These areas will be clearly marked with barricades and special work zone signage. Residents and businesses are kindly asked to move vehicles out of these zones while works are underway. Keeping the areas clear means the upgrades will be completed quickly, safely and efficiently so parking can be returned as soon as possible. Impacted residents and businesses will be mailed a reminder notice as the construction date approaches.

Council and the contractor will work together to minimise disruption and keep the area safe. We appreciate your patience and cooperation while these improvements are carried out.
