We want to empower our residents to improve their recycling practices, live more sustainably, and work towards becoming a zero-waste community.
We’ve partnered with ReSmart (formerly RecycleSmart) to make it easy.
ReSmart will collect your hard-to-recycle items from your doorstep, keeping them out of landfill and putting them to good use.
Popular items include soft plastics, clothes, shoes, electronics, coffee pods, kitchenware, and more.
How to book your free ReSmart Pickup
1. Book online
- Download the ReSmart App or visit resmart.co.
- Select On-demand Pickup and choose the Regular size.
- Pick a date that shows “Council-subsidised Pickup” to get your FREE collection.
- If that date doesn’t suit you, you can book another available time for $19 (up to 60L / 2 bags).
- ReSmart will send plenty of reminders so you don’t miss it.
2. Pack your items
- Use any two shopping bags (around 40×30×20cm each) or a box up to 60L.
- Fill them with dry, reasonably clean items such as soft plastics, e-waste, textiles, blister packs, and more.
- If it doesn’t go in your regular bins, and it’s dry, pop it in!
3. Place your bags out
- Put them outside your house or near your building’s letterboxes before 8am on your Pickup day.
- Ensure bags are not placed near prebooked household clean up or waste and recycling bins.
4. That’s it!
- Your local ReSmart driver will collect your items and make sure they’re recycled, reused, or repurposed.
- If your bags are reusable, your driver will leave them back.
- ReSmart weighs every bag so you can track your positive impact.
