- Book groups
Book groups offer a great opportunity to connect with other literary lovers in the community. The aim of the group is to engage in lively conversation and friendly discussion on the same book.
Stanton Library is home to eight book groups of up to 16 people who meet once a month. We also offer an exciting collection of book club titles that are available to borrow, with each kit containing eight to 10 copies of the same book and discussion questions.

- Writers' group
Our writers group is suitable for keen writers of fiction, non-fiction or poetry who are interested in developing their creative writing skills and offer support to other writers.
Members come together to workshop and edit their stories, share experiences and challenge each other in a supportive environment. The group's first anthology, Pieces of North Shore, is a refreshingly candid selection of stories that depict the quest of new arrivals to locate within a culture that appears daunting and unattainable. They are currently working on their second anthology.
