First Nations Artist Residency

North Sydney Council respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land and waters of the North Sydney local government areas, the Cammeraygal people

The First Nations Residency Program is a creative residency offered to two First Nations artists to develop new work, have space to work on existing work and engage with community on Cammeraygal land. The residency is hosted in North Sydney Council’s Alfred Street Artists’ Studios (Milsons Point).

The residency offers a mentorship opportunity with mili mili, a First Nations-led organisation directed by Yamaji Wajarri, Dutch and English designer and artist Nicole Monks.

The residency provides dedicated cultural support and creative mentorship to ensure a safe and respectful experience and will be supported through a relationship with Cammeraygal elder, Auntie Jeanie Moran.
