The two nursery groups meet on alternating weeks of the month. The morning group meets on the second and fourth Thursday from 9.30am to 12pm and the afternoon group meets on the first and third Thursday from 12pm to 2.30pm at the Coal Loader Centre for Sustainability.
Morning Dates: February 12 and 26, March 12 and 26, April 9 and 23, May 14 and 28, June 11 and 25, July 9 and 23, August 13 and 27, September 10 and 24, October 8 and 22, November 12 and 26.
Afternoon Dates: February 5 and 19, March 5 and 19, April 2 and 16, May 7 and 21, June 4 and 18, July 2 and 16, August 6 and 20, September 3 and 17, October 1 and 15, November 5 and 19.
Groups meet between February and November, taking a break in January and December.
Meet at the northern end of the Coal Loader closest to Waterhen Drive.
Meetings that fall on a long weekend or the Boorowa tree planting trip must be confirmed by the Group Convenor.
In the event of rain, call the Group Convenor for updates.
Volunteers are required to wear enclosed shoes, a long sleeved shirt, long pants and a hat. Bring sunscreen and a full water bottle.

The Bushcare Community Nursery Group was formed in 2011 following the opening of the Coal Loader Centre for Sustainability to produce local native plants to be used for the rehabilitation of Council's bushland reserves and to support the Bushcare programs.
Two volunteer groups meet on alternating weeks February through November, one in the morning on the second and fourth Thursday of the month and the other in the afternoon on the first and third Thursday. They help the Bushcare Nursery Supervisor to undertake a variety of tasks including; sorting seed, producing cuttings, potting-up stock and maintaining the nursery facilities - a seed bank, propagation shelter, two hot houses, a shade house and hardening off benches.
Volunteers receive training and are invited to special events throughout the year.
Participation is limited to available workspace, interested community members may contact the Bushcare Nursery Supervisor or Bushcare Officer on 9936 8100 to get involved.
The Bushcare Community Nursery is one of a few mid-week Bushcare Groups provided by Council, located close to toilets and transport services.
