The biennial North Sydney Art Prize is back, promising a unique showcase of artistic talent from local, regional and national artists at the picturesque Coal Loader Centre for Sustainability.

Opening hours: Wednesday to Friday 10am to 3pm, Saturday to Sunday 10am to 4pm

Art enthusiasts, curious observers, community members and families alike can explore over 90 carefully curated artworks displayed across the diverse landscapes of the Coal Loader Centre. From the breathtaking views of the Platform overlooking the harbour to the hidden tunnels and chambers beneath, and the surrounding parklands, there's something to captivate every visitor's imagination.

The Art Prize will inspire visitors of all ages. A panel of arts professionals have selected an exciting array of artworks to respond to this year’s Art Prize theme considering the overarching principles of the Coal Loader. Many artworks tackle the theme of sustainability, exploring the impact of climate change and consumerism. There is a broad range of artworks, from paintings to sculptures, new media and installation-based work.

In addition to the exhibition, visitors can take part in a series of engaging events and activities. From enlightening artist talks and interactive workshops to specially curated exhibition tours and activities for children, there's ample opportunity for everyone to connect with the art and the artists behind it.
