Join Aboriginal Heritage Officer Karen Smith as she shares her knowledge about native bush foods and their future. Learn about some of the traditional healing ceremonies which were recorded by the First Fleet, including stories of Karen's ancestor's experience, and what traditional Indigenous healing looks like today.

About the presenter

Karen Smith is from the Buruberongal clan of the Hawkesbury (Derrubin) area and she has been an Education Officer at the Aboriginal Heritage Office since 2011. She leads guided walks and provides talks and presentations throughout the partner Councils in northern Sydney.

Accessibility

This event will be held on Level 1 and is accessible for people using mobility aids via lift. A hearing loop is also installed.
