Stormwater drainage construction will commence on Monday 11 March as part of the Willoughby Road Streetscape Upgrade in Crows Nest.
Traffic detours will be in place as the stormwater pipes are being laid in the road. It will take place during the restricted approved hours on Monday to Friday, from 7:00am to 5:00pm . Work on Saturday will take place from 8:00am to 4:00pm if required.
Please drive slowly in the vicinity of the works, obey all warning signs, and directions provided by our Traffic Controllers. Please be assured that every effort will be made to minimise disruption as a result of this work.
- Stage 1 - Albany Street to Holtermann Street (11/03/2024 to 2/04/2024, weather permitting)
- Stage 2 - Holtermann Street to Ernest Place (estimated start date 03/04/2024, weather permitting)
- Stage 3 - Ernest Place to Burlington Street (estimated start date 30/04/2024, weather permitting)
Willoughby Road in Crows Nest is being refreshed with new paving, lighting and street furniture. The existing planter boxes defining the outdoor dining areas will make way for a more contemporary design.
The area to be upgraded extends from Burlington to Albany Street and includes many popular outdoor dining areas and entertainment areas.
