Arts and Culture North Sydney are excited to announce the 117 Finalists (425KB)

 

Exhibition Dates:  2-17 March 2019, open daily 10am - 5pm

Venue: The Coal Loader Centre for Sustainability, 2 Balls Head Drive, Waverton 2060

 

The North Sydney Art Prize is a major biennial arts event showcasing some of the best in contemporary art by artists across Australia.

117 finalists have been selected from an incredible 411 entries to exhibit paintings, drawings, photography, sculpture, installation and new media based works.

Selected works will be exhibited in the Caretakers Cottage, Artist Studio, Workshop, Mess Hall, Platform, Tunnels 1 & 2, newly refurbished 25 Chambers, across the Coal Loader site and surrounding parklands. This unique post-industrial site accommodates the inclusion of diverse mediums with an emphasis on supporting innovative site specific art forms.

The curatorial theme outlined in The North Sydney Art Prize 2019 Brief (577KB) , embraces innovation and encourages artists to consider the overarching principles of the Coal Loader Centre for Sustainability. The North Sydney Art Prize Conditions of Entry (587KB)
