In 2014, Council adopted a new Public Domain Style Manual to guide future improvements for North Sydney CBD and Village Centres.
The Manual sets out the desired quality and standards for assets in Council's Public Domain to ensure a consistent, high quality finish is achieved in all public areas in North Sydney.
To enable Villages Centres to maintain an individual character - draft Public Domain Upgrade plans have been prepared for:
- Crows Nest
- Neutral Bay and Cremorne
- St Leonards
Working Groups consisting of local residents, businesses and community bodies were set up to help guide the Public Domain Upgrade plans for each centre.
The strategies contained within each report are presented as a guide only and are aimed at highlighting areas in need of immediate upgrade and areas with opportunities for further improvement through additional design investigation and authority approvals as they arise and as required.
